Sim Racing News Roundup: iRacing & Assetto Corsa Rally — November 2025

iRacing: Season 4 in Full Swing, Suzuka 1000km Takes Center Stage

The 2025 Season 4 build, launched in September, was in full swing come November. The Suzuka 1000km special event (November 14–16) marked the return of a genuine classic to the iRacing calendar after a five-year hiatus, run as part of an international GT series on the legendary Japanese circuit in the GT3 class. Shortly after, on November 22, the SCCA Runoffs followed as another major solo event for the season. (official announcement)

Behind the scenes, iRacing was already gearing up for the new year: 2026 Season 1 was announced for December 9, alongside news that the old “legacy authentication” system would be retired with that December release.

Assetto Corsa Rally: The Early Access Launch

November 13 was a special day for Kunos Simulazioni, publisher 505 Games, and new development studio Supernova Games Studios: Assetto Corsa Rally launched into Steam Early Access — just over four weeks after its official announcement at SimRacing Expo. (official announcement)

The fourth title in the Assetto Corsa series is the brand’s first dedicated rally game, built on a version of the proven Assetto Corsa physics engine adapted for rally conditions. Supernova spent four years working on the project in technical partnership with Kunos. At launch, ten laser-scanned cars were available, ranging from the Lancia Delta HF Integrale to the modern Hyundai i20 Rally2, with roughly 20 more cars planned over the first year of Early Access. The focus is squarely on racing against the clock rather than large AI fields, freeing up compute for deeper physics and tire model detail.

Wrap-Up

A particularly eventful month: while iRacing fulfills a long-standing fan wish with Suzuka, an entirely new title steps onto the stage with Assetto Corsa Rally — bringing genuine gravel and rally feeling to the Assetto Corsa family for the first time.

Next issue: Le Mans Ultimate & Project Motor Racing (January 2026).
