After the big graphics-and-Hypercar update in September 2025, KW Studios followed up with the year’s first major update on March 24, 2026. Three new cars arrived — including the free entry-level Alpine A110 Cup and, with the LRT NXT1, the sim’s first fully electric car (based on the Mini Cooper SE) for the NXT Gen Cup series. On the track side, Adria International Raceway (preserved digitally even though the real track no longer exists) and Vallelunga made their debut, alongside a modernized version of Spa-Francorchamps. The most practically useful feature, though, is probably the new steering angle system: users no longer need to manually match their wheel’s software rotation to each individual car — the system now syncs steering lock automatically. The HUD also got an update with a new driver label system. One symbolic footnote: the Ferrari license is expiring — existing Ferrari content stays usable, but it’s no longer purchasable in the store.
Over at Competition Company, March was all about an ambitious 2026 roadmap the studio unveiled in late February — a response to the game’s rocky November launch. The centerpiece: a 45% price cut to the Deluxe Edition (from €69.99 to €38.49), which will now also include the DLC pack planned for September. Content-wise, a free update adding the Hyundai N Vision 74 and the new Kuala Lumpur circuit (plus additional layouts for Road Atlanta and Fuji Speedway) is announced for late March, followed by the first premium DLC, “Endurance Classics Pt. 1,” in April. Alongside the roadmap came an important structural update: the partnership with console publisher Nacon was mutually terminated as of February 20, 2026 — Rennsport will now handle console publishing entirely itself going forward. For the rest of the year, the team also announced a reworked AI system (targeted for May) and early steps toward modding support.
RaceRoom’s Q1 update delivers tangible, immediately noticeable improvements — from the new EV to the clever steering angle feature. Rennsport, meanwhile, remains in transition: the Nacon split shows that 2026 is a structural transition year for the team too, even as its content roadmap stays ambitious.
